Friday, December 5, the Lady Bulldogs beat the Lonestar Longhorns in the first round of the annual Carlile Classic tournament held at Peetz. The Lady bulldogs started out strong finished the first half up 36-9 and finished the game 48-21.
Leading in points was Nichole Burns with 21 points and 1 rebound, Breana Curtis and Bailey Sorensen with 6 each, Lexie Buss with 5, Libby Fehringer with 4, Brooke Schumacher and Stalina Schumacher with 2 each, and Janessa Garvin and Emily Schumacher with 1 each.
With the win on Friday night the Lady Bulldogs advanced to the Championship game on Saturday Night against the Caliche Buffaloes where they lost 44-29. Nichole Burns led in points with 14, and pulled down 9 rebounds. Breana Curtis followed with 7 points, Leslie Roelle had 4, Elizabeth Fehringer had 2, and Nicole Carpenter and Emily Schumacher had one each.
